It would never occur to me that Alicia might be pronounced uh-LEE-see-uh. I've only ever known it to be pronounced uh-LEE-shuh.

I know Alicia is always confused with Ah-Lee-Sha
I went to school with two girls that spelled it that way and said it that way. Alecia might be less confusing.

Regarding the 'Alicia' confusion, I personally don't like the 'Alecia' as people either pronounce it "Ah-lee-sha" or "Ah-les-ya" (Though I think Alesya is a beautiful sounding name)... I've seen an alternate spelling of "Alyssia"(or 'Alyssiah'? my memory is failing me) and "Alycia" - which I personally really like, but I'm a sucker for "alternative" names and spellings.

P.S. I saw a BEAUTIFUL alternative version of "Selena" on another site listed as... "Célina" (which I think is gorgeous)... :)
