Elle vs. Ella

My fiancé and were 100% set on Elle! We love the simplicity of it and the sound. However, when we told my family the name they said it sounded "too short" and that we should use Ella instead since we can use Elle as a nickname anyway. We are really stuck now! We definitely like Elle more but also understand where my family is coming from. Big brothers are Mason and Remy!

I love Elle! Go with the name you love, your family will love the child and not care so much about the name.

Elle for sure! There's nothing wrong with having a one-sound name and Elle is just as formal and proper as Ella without being crazy common. Mason, Remy & Elle is a gorgeous combination!

Elle reminds me of El as on El Gallo.

I actually like the elegance of Elle. I think it'll age better than Ella will and I had Ella at the top of my list for years. Stick with what you love! Plus look at how common Ella is now. It ruined the name for me.

Just use whichever sounds best with your last name.

I prefer Elle. Ella is so overdone and will likely get confused w Bella.
