Miles vs. Myles
Which spelling of the name do you prefer? My husband and I have asked a few close friends and family members what they prefer, and we've received a pretty equal amount of votes in favor of each spelling. We're really stuck because we like both spellings. Please tell us which spelling you like best, and it would really help if you could explain your choice. His middle name will be Henry. Myles, because then it seems more like a name and less like a word. I have known one of each spelling, so I think either is an acceptable spelling. Myles is just my preference on the spelling since I'm not a fan of word-names.

I agree with the first poster that I prefer Myles because it seems more like a name and less like a word. However I think Miles Henry looks better than Myles Henry because of the double 'y' thing...

If popularity helps you, Miles is more commonly used. It's the 110th most common boy name in the US in 2017. Myles is the 212th most popular boy name in the US in 2017.

Myles has a cool medieval look to it. For me personally, when I see Myles I tend to just think about the fact that I much prefer Milo
