Antheia vs. Thoughts?

Baby's dad recently brought up the name Antheia to me for our baby's girl name(don't know the gender yet). It's pronounced Ahn-THAY-uh. We think it's gorgeous. Antheia was also the goddess of flowers in Greek mythology, another reason he loves the name is that he loves Greek culture and their mythology. But will it be difficult for people to get the pronunciation? Another thing, baby's surname will be Girardi so does Antheia Girardi sound fine? We figure possible nicknames can be Ana or Theia. If you like it, please leave a few middle names. If not feel free to give us a few new first name ideas. Thanks. ~Erica

Antheia is so pretty. The meaning is beautiful too. Antheia Girardi has a nice flow. Annie could be a nickname too. I say use it!!

It isn't bad, but everyone involved will definitely have issues with pronunciation. You all will be correcting people A LOT. So if you really love the name and agree on it, just be ready to graciously deal with correcting a ton of people. Good luck

I'm not really a fan, sorry. Suggestions...

Athena (goddess of wisdom)
Aurora (goddess of dawn)
Penelope (wife of Odysseus)
Olympia
Iris (goddess of the rainbow)
Cassandra (Greek prophetess)
Persephone (goddess of the underworld)

Good luck :)
