Renee as a vs. first name?

I know Renee is more often used as a middle name, but my husband and I are seriously considering it for a first name. What do you think of it as a first name? Also, does it fit with big sister Lauren Sophia?

I wouldn't use it as a first name. One reason being I just don't care for it and another being the fact of the names being LauREN and RENee. They sound slightly different but I'm just like OCD or something about siblings names not having that big of a similarity in any way.

I think it would be fine to use as a first name. Refreshing even. I dont think it is that similar to Lauren at all. They both have a French vibe that is complimentary if anything.

I have a Claire Renee and we seriously considered it as a first name. We wanted a C name to go with our first daughter Caroline... but she was almost a Renee Claire.

I think it's lovely as a first name and it fits very well with Lauren, very French. how about
