I like sonja if you are going to pn it with a long o sound. the others imo would have the sound like "on."

No, do Sonia. I know a woman named Sonja, and I always want to call her Son-juh. With the "j" sound.

people in the USA south tend to say the name with the short o sound, as in the word "on". If Scandinavian heritage is involved, use the j spelling, and a long "o" sound as in "own".
