Baby Name Poll Results

Valerie - this is my nan's name but it doesn't appeal to me at all, too old fashioned and harsh-sounding.

When I hear this name I automatically think of a scientist on a kids programme, but that's not a bad connection at all. To me it seems a bit sing-songy but it's not a bad name.

Vanessa - This is my cousins name, again its a bit too old fashioned for me but I LOVE the nicknames Ness and Nessie!

Natalie - I personally prefer Natalia as it's a bit more unique. To me Natalie is one of those names that is "safe" and "boring". Sorry.

Elena - I do like this name, I much prefer this spelling to "Eleanor." The nickname possibilities are endless: Elle, Ellie, Ella, Nell, Nellie, Nella, Lenny etc.

Madeleine - this is probably my favourite name out of your list as I grew up watching the 'Madeline' series about a French girl in a boarding school. The only negative for me is the association to Madeleine McCann but if you are alright with that then go for it.

Overall my favourite is Madeleine and least favourites are Valerie and Natalie.

I like all of them; our physical therapist just had a new baby and named her Valerie, she got lots of compliments on it.

I love Vanessa, Natalie and Madeleine! Beautiful classic names that age well and sound both strong and feminine. They would also make fantastic names for sisters! Nina is also really sweet. Valerie has never been a favorite of mine, but it is alright. The only one I really dislike is Elena.
