Lucia - Minnesota. But know someone who named her daughter Loo-sha here. Not a fan at all if that pronunciation! Whereas Lu-see-a sounds beautiful and feminine to me.

Loo-sha is the pronunciation most commonly used in Spanish/Latin/Hispanic. Loo-chee-ah is the pronunciation most commonly used in Italy. Loo-see-ah is the pronunciation most commonly used in Scandinavia. All ways are appropriate and accepted and I think all could work in English, here in the States. I would use the pronunciation you like and maybe what reflects your heritage. You may have to inform people how to pronounce her name - Once corrected I think people will remember. You could check out Appellation Mountain's Name of the Day post about Lucia - it covers the breakdown of pronunciation I mentioned above. Other options if you're not sure about Lucia: Luciana and Lucienne.
