I think Wally is a cute nick name, but I am not a fan of the name Walton.
I would use it as a middle name.

My first reaction was "Nope". But said it out loud a few times, thought about the nn Wally and it won me over. :)

As a middle name, it is fine.
I wouldn't use it as a first name.
