I dont think that its fair to tie names with race. Pick what you love and think is beautiful. These are great sister names :)

I love Megan, not a fan of Meredith. I think it sounds a little old, and itsn’t super pretty. Here are some more suggestions...

Megan and Madeline
Megan and Maddie
Megan and Madisen (I only like it spelt this way!)
Megan and Morgan (Morg and Meg...so cute!

I like Megan and Morgan or Megan and Madisen or Megan and Madeline...

If you like those, I can give you middle names...GOod luck!

Jessica, I totally understand your point. However, in our society, unfortunately, we typically associate a person’s name with their race. We have names that are considered "White" or "Black" names. I simply want names with special meanings that doesn’t say "White" or "Black" , but that the child is a special, unique being. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for all of your comments. My husband likes "Morgan" but I am not a huge fan. I can’t get past "Morg" it reminds me too much of "Morgue" which has a negative connation. Madison sounds to masculine for us. But, we also like Madeline.

oops!!! meant to write "connotation".

No problem....I understand your concern...I like Morgan, and I didn’t even think of Morgue when I hear it...if it really bugs you though, you could insist that she doesn’t go by Morg...only Morgan. Also, would you consider Madeline and Morgan for their names? I’m not too fond of Megan, and if you like Madeline and Morgan, I think that would make a fantastic combo! What do you think?

My husband is in love with the name "Megan" and he really likes ’Morgan" too. Since I chose our son’s name, I think it would only be fair to compromise on our daughter’s name. I love the meaning of "Megan" which is "pearl". The meaning Morgan and Meredith also relates to the "sea" which is has special meaning for us and is linked to "pearl". It is so hard to choose!!

Thanks for all the comments so far.

Morgan means sea too, and it’s cute with Megan, which is pearl too! Megan is great too, but have you considered spelling it Meghan? I think that is way more beautiful (although Megan is already beautiful!) and I think it’s prettier, and looks more complete. That way too, it kind of seperates Morgan because they are close, but the h in Meghan makes them different. What about these names:

Meghan Hope
Morgan Faith

Cute?? I think so!! Let me know....p.s what is your son’s name?

You are in my head. We have considered "Faith" and "Hope" as middle names. I like your idea of adding "h" to "Megan", but I too avoid any potential spelling issues with her name, I think its best to stick with "Megan".

Do you think "Morgan" is too masculine for a girl?

Our son’s name is Miles.

Again, thanks.

No problem........I know a girl whose name is Meghan, and some people mispell it, but it’s unique! And when you write it in cursive, when you come up from the g, you have to make an ubrupt stop with Megan, to go to the a. With Meghan, you go down to the g, swoop up, and loop an h....I think it’s nicer, and would look nicer on a nametag, or resume. I don’t think Morgan is too masculine for a girl- I haven’t heard it on a guy since--- it’s been a long time! I love Meghan- I actually think Megan is too plain, Meghan is unique and beautiful. It’s honestly not that bad when people mispell your name-I think the extra letter makes it look complete.

Meghan Hope and Morgan Faith are GREAT names...Miles is so cute by the way...Let me know if you like it! I hope you like Meghan- so pretty! Let me know!

I see what you mean with how "Meghan" looks in cursive writing. It looks elegant. I still have to look into the spelling.

Okay....I say it’s a go though! I love Meghan and Morgan together too...does your husband like Meghan? It just seems fuller, and like you said- elegant! I really hope you choose it! Let me know when you decide...I’ll keep checking the poll!
