Iselin (EE-sa-LEEN) vs. Iselilja (EE-sa-LEEL-(ee)-ya)

Which wintry beauty do you like best? Iselin is a Norwegian variant of the Gaelic Aisling, meaning "vision." Iselilja is a Norwegian name-traction of "is" (ice) and "lilje" (lily). Love the nickname Is! Not sure if these are just too complicated or if they're fresh-sounding-- they both remind me of current on-trend names like Evelina and Juniper! If you're going to have a super uncommon, hard-to-pronounce name, I would NOT do a unique middle name with it. I would just stick to Iselin Rose or Iselilja Grace to balance out the name so it doesn't look like you are trying too hard to have a unique name.

Love Iselin, but pronounced closer to IH-se-LEEN, se like the "ce" in center. Iselin Lucia is beautiful, vision of light!

Iselilja is confusing and overcomplicated especially if you live in America. Iselin isn't nearly as complicated.
