Only if he is born in the month of what u r naming him...otherwise kind of goofy. January is definitely very feminine. I do like August as a name but I prefer the month of October.

January is all girl in my opinion.. I don't think that it matters what month he was born in though!! (Or conceived in) I think that if you love a name, you should totally use it. I love both October and August, but I kinda don't like the nickname Gus.. I would much prefer Auggie... Hope this helps! Are you open to more suggestions too??
