What Do vs. You Think?
Does Declan Alan work together as a first and middle name? I love love love the name Declan and I need to use the middle name Alan and I was just wondering if they sound good together or if it's too much -n sound at the end? Thanks and would love lots of comments!

It does work, I think. Sometimes names that end in the same sound and have the same number of syllables will sound stilted. But I like this combo. It reminds me of Revolutionary War hero Ethan Allen, which I think is super handsome.

I do really like it.. Declan is very nice, and Allen is a nice classic name to tone it down a bit. Would you like other suggestions?

I love it. Declan is my fav of these Irish names becoming more popular. I like nick name Dec. Alan sounds fine with it. Good luck

Unfortunately I don't think they flow well together because they both end in the letter N. It's not the end of the world that you use them, but I don't think it sounds great.

They end in the same sound so unfortunately they don't work together but if you like them together then that's all that matters. Usually the middle name is very rarely mentioned anyway.

No but my sister used Nolan Alan so I am used to it. It's not all that bad.

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate the opinions! Seems to be evenly split between yes and no. I guess if I ever have a son I will see how it sounds then.
