Elisabeth vs. pronunciation
Would you pronounce Elisabeth the same as Elizabeth or would you assume it was said a little differently? Someone told me recently that her name is actually suppose to be said like Alyssa-Beth but since she's been in the U.S. people have just called her Elizabeth. I really like it with this prenounciaton but is it a lost cause? Thank you for your help.

It may depend where you live. I have a co-worker named Elisabeth and her name is pronounced E-lih-sah-beth, almost like Elizabeth, only with an S sound instead of a Z. My niece is named Elisabeth and her name is pronounced as Uh-lee-suh-beth.
