Gigi Short for Paige vs. Yes vs. No
Hi! I've fallen in love with the name Paige and someone suggested the nickname Gigi. (Paige/Paigey/Gigi)
I personally love this as a nickname but a few family members have said they don't understand how Gigi could come from the name Paige so they aren't sold on it. Please let me know whether you think Gigi makes sense as a nickname for Paige and feel free to drop any nickname suggestions! Thank you!

It's not an especially intuitive nickname for Paige, so you may have some trouble getting it to "stick" however i don't think its up to your family to convince you to change you're mind because theyre not sold on it - she's not their child!

It is a bit of a stretch on its own. However, if you paired it with a 'G' middle name it makes more sense.

It works :)
If you start calling her Gigi from the beginning, people will copy you and it will work

Paige is short enough. No nickname needed.

It's not the most intuitive, but I think you can make it work. I personally don't like Paige with a G middle name because the G from PaiGe will run into a middle name starting with G.

I thought nicknames are meant to shorten a long name, not make a name longer.
