Laney vs. Lainey vs. Laynee

Trying to decide on the spelling for our second daughter. We are open to other suggestions on spellings. We are trying to pick the spelling which looks most appealing and isn't too out there. We don't want her to have to spell out her name the rest of her life :) Thank you in advance!

The correct spelling is Lainey! It's also the prettiest.

Laney means crooked tree. Lainey means shining light. Does that help?

I actually thought Lainie was one of the original spellings as a nickname for Elaine. Personally, I think Lainie is adorable and vintage.

Laney is my second favorite, but it looks very surnamey to me, and Lainey looks like an in-between the other two, for better or worse. Laynee will certainly result in her spelling her name for the rest of her life.

I like both Laney and Lainey but it does seem like Laney should be a nickname for Delaney while Lainey feels more like a name in it's own right so I voted for Lainey.
