Just Ava vs. Avalyn / Avelyn vs. Averly / Avery

What version / extension of Ava do you like the best? We would love if you could please comment below. We are not sure if we should just go with Ava or if it is too popular and we should use an alternative. Would love some advice. Avalyn is pronounced as ay-vuh-lyn. Avelyn is pronounced as av-eh-lyn. I prefer Avery on a boy and Avelyn and Averly seem like Evelyn and Everly misspelled. Avalyn GMV because Ava is extremely popular

I guess I wonder if you love Ava as is. Yes, its common on most charts, but I have only met one in my lifetime and she's in high school. Would you call her Ava if you were to name her Avalyn (prefer this to Avelyn) or Avery (prefer this to Averly? I wouldn't see the point of avoiding the popularity if you were going to call her Ava anyways. I do adore Avalyn with the nickname Avie (AY-Vee) too. Mind as well just name her Ava if you are going to call her that, especially if you love it and can get over its popularity. I would definitely check the social security ranking of this name where you live and that could help you decided if its too popular in your area to use it. My vote goes to just Ava if you want to call her Ava, if not, Avalyn (Avie) is lovely too! Good luck!

Avalyn, Avalon, Avery, or just Ava. The others are a little too out there for me. I also like the name Aviana.

Ava is classic and beautiful. The others are painfully trendy and will be dated someday. Avery is also only a few spots behind Ava in popularity, and I personally know more Averys than Avas.
