Thoughts on vs. Sibling Pair?
Hi! My oldest is Eleanor Joy (she'll be four next month), and she does go by her full name (no Ellie/Ella/etc). Her little sister is due any day, and we've finally landed on Emma Josephine (maybe nn Emma Jo) for her sister. I know the matching sibling initials may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's tradition in our family. Just wanted a second opinion since we're keeping the name a surprise with loved ones - do these names go well together? Emma and Eleanor? Thank you!
The Top Baby Name is...
To clarify: by "full name," I just meant that we call her Eleanor. We rarely use her middle name in conversation.
I think it's perfect! Very sweet, super classic, but still spunky and will age well.
I think they sound great together! Beautiful combo.
I think they go fine together. Emma is a bit expected, but there's nothing wrong with it.
Emmeline or Emilia would jazz it up a bit and you could still use Emma or Emma Jo as a nickname.
I love both names a lot especially Emma but I feel like it doesn't go with Eleanor.
That sounds good!
I think it sounds predictable and plain Jane.
I definitely prefer just Emma over something fancier like the names above, just personally, especially if you're planning to use a nn of her middle name already. I think Emma Josephine is perfect and Emma Jo is super super cute!
Love them.They go perfectly together!
Thanks everyone! I know the names may not be everyone's style but I appreciate the positive feedback! I think we're settled on Emma Josephine, and we're so excited. Thanks again!
I think they are beautiful names and work very well together
