Is a c-section vs. Scary?

Hi guys, I am pregnant with my first and he is due any day now. Yesterday, my doctor said that his head is very large and I will need a c-section to get him out. I am really nervous, mostly because 2 years ago, my friend Graciela died during her c-section. Is it scary or am I overreacting? Thank you, Tiffany.

My sister was just fine with her C-section. If you believe in God pray about it, if not make sure you still talk to your partner and family for support. You will be okay. Sending positive vibs 💙

My sister told me it didn't really hurt it just felt like a lot of pressure build up being released.

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend btw, but that is usually EXTREMELY rare in these modern times with the technology we have.

I'm really sorry about your friend. I agree with the first poster, though. You need to pray about it. Trust God. My aunt had a c-section and she was just fine.

Trust modern medicine, honestly know that it's rare but stay off the internet you will only find horror stories instead know that it's planned which automatically works on your favor, talk to your doctor so you know exactly what to expect. I remember doing birthing classes and the RN said that when moms know exactly what will happen even if it seems scary in decreases fear by 80 percent and makes the process go smoother because there's no scary surprises. Good luck sending positive vibes your way.

I was really scared before I had one. But then when it happened (unplanned), it was totally fine! My husband and I prayed and God gave us a peace about it. It was way less scary than I'd anticipated. My recovery went great and I still had a great birth experience and bonded with my baby. I can't promise you any results but I can assure you that a c-section doesn't have to be an awful, scary thing. I can understand it feeling that way, especially due to your friend. For the OB and the hospital though, this is routine. They are not nervous, they do this all the time, if that helps you feel any better about it. And if you really don't want to have one, ask your doctor if you can have a trial of labor.
