Westley vs. Wesley

Westley vs. Wesley conundrum: I'd love to name my son after the Princess Bride character since I loved the book and movie so much as a kid and my husband likes it too, the only problem is as a couple midwesterns we have some trouble with pronouncing names with a T in the middle of the name. I know in the movie they pronounce it both ways but could we just go ahead and cut out the T and name him Wesley, or still spell it the "correct" way and still pronounce it the former? 🤷‍♀️

I say go ahead and use the version you love-Westley.
My Husband's name is Westly with this unique spelling but nobody ever pronounces the T in it anyway.They say it the same as Wesley.
