If you want Yo-la, I would spell it Yola. Yola Isabel is pretty!

I agree with the posters above - this will not get pronounced the way you are hoping. I would strongly consider using Yola.

Iola Wildflower gmv.

Iola Isabel was tempting. And it's not a bad idea when using an unconventional first name to use a more conventional middle one. Wildflower is different, but still easily spelled and recognized to I went with it. Not a fan of Wilder (regardless of a first name).

I pronounce Iola the way the poll parents do. Iolanthe is "yo-LAN-thee" and Ioanna is "yo-AH-nuh." It's a Greek thing. But I'm a name nerd and, outside of Europe, she will have pronunciation issues. I'd name a daughter Niamh, Aoife or Sinéad so that's not a deal breaker for me. Good luck! :0)

I appreciate everyone's concern, but "YO-la" is spelled iola or jola— "io" and "jo" make the "yo" sound in virtually every language outside of english; it's not very difficult to learn new things!

thank you for the votes!

I picked Isabel just because I thought having the initials I.I. would be really unusual and kinda cool. But I wouldn't mind Wildflower as a middle name either. Just Wilder on its own isn't my cup of tea though because instead of thinking wildflower I think wild child/crazy out of control kind of wild. Iola is unusual but definitely usable. I encounter new names pretty frequently in the region I live in and Iola, though I haven't heard it before, would definitely be a name I could pick up on very quickly.
