Cayle/Kayle vs. Kael/Cael vs. Kail/Cail

I have decided to name my daugher Kale after her dad who is in the military. Our doctor has put me on bedrest for my last 2 months due to complications that will most likely result in me not having anymore children after her. My husband Kale has always wanted a boy to name after him, so I figure this is the next best thing. Now I need a spelling and a girly middle name. Thanks- Maddy

I dont like Kale (any spelling) for a girl. Sorry I think that since its her dads name you should just find something similiar like:

Kaile is the best way to spell it for a girl... I love how you are naming your daughter after her daddy, my husband didnt even want our sons to have his as a middle name lol

I don’t normally like naming your daughter after your father becasue of the gender difference, but in this case, I think it’s very nice! I like Kaile- I think it’s beautiful! Have you considered Kaley? I think thats beautiful, and with the nn Kale, she’s definately named after her daddy! If not- maybe pick a different name, and use Kale as a middle name.

P.S- don’t give up hope. I was told early on that my chances of concieving were low, but I am now a mother to two beautiful girls. Good luck!

My doctor has pretty much told me that having another baby after this one could possibly kill me and/or the baby. I really wanted to stick with Kale, but Kaelyn is cute-but people usually pronounce it Kay-lynn instead of Kale-lynn. I also kind of like Kaley or Kaely

Kael is cute! But Kail is too! I definetely like one of those two best, but I’ve always liked Kail/Kael on a gal! Its gorgeous! Though, I also like Kaelyn and Kayla and those sorts of names too, but just Kael/Kail is pretty! Mn’s:

I love Kale Evelyn too! I think if you are going to keep the same name and not change it to something similar, I think keeping the spelling the same would be best. The name is perfect...A great tribute to her father and your great grandma. Good luck with your little angel!

I think it might be confusing for both your husband and your daughter to have the same name so maybe something like a double name?
