My husbands mom, Adelaide, died when he was little and he's always wanted to name a daughter after her. Wdyt of the name Adelaide Marie? Marie is a family name on my side. We'd call her Addy.

I think it is very lovely, but I despise the nickname Addy. I know so many girls with Ad- names with the nickname Addy, none of them go by their full name. It's just so over done in my opinion and if you're using such a beautiful, elegant name like Adelaide, I think it deserves to be used fully! Good luck!
