Noelle "Ellie" Elizabeth vs. Elizabeth "Ellie" Noelle

We adore the name Noelle and want to honor a family member with that name, but we are worried that it is too close to our son's name, Noah. We thought that if she went by the nickname Ellie it might be okay. What do you think? Still too close with Noelle as a first name even if we only call her Ellie?

As much as I love Noelle, I personally find Noah and Noelle to be too similar even if Noelle goes by Ellie. Elizabeth Noelle "Ellie" is lovely, though!

Elizabeth is tiresomely popular. Eliana nn Ellie Gabrielle nn Ellie, Emmeline nn Ellie.
Dont head for Eleanor it is just as tiresome as Elizabeth.

Normally I'd pick Noelle nn Ellie, but I do think Noelle is too close if you already have Noah. :(

Noah and Noelle are to similar, even if you call her Ellie. She might not want to be called Ellie and choose to go by Noelle (and want others to call her that including her family). Noah and Elle or Noah and Ellie would be great together. Elizabeth is kind of boring.

I absolutely love the name Noelle . But I do not like the nickname Ellie. And it is rather close to Noah. But if you love Noelle Elizabeth I would go for it.

Maybe Joelle Elizabeth? Noelle is way too close to Noah unfortunately. I also like the suggestion of Eliza. Good luck!

I like the name Noelle with no nickname! I am not a fan of E names.
