Aira is actually pronounced Air uh. Ayra is a Muslim name pronounced Aa-yah-ra, sorry I tend to think it's disrespectful to their culture to use a name and pronounce in incorrectly. Eira is a welsh name pronounced eye-ruh.

Eira is my favorite spelling and people are less likely to mispronounce it. Both of your choices I would pronounce aye ra or Air ra.

Sorry it was the only name I can think of that correctly gives you the pronunciation you want. The other two aren't pronounced that way, I'd look at other names if you don't like Eira.

Hi Hannah. I'm Hindu and Ayra is another name for Goddess Saraswati who's the goddess of education. So it's not disrespectful for me to use a name from my culture. I'm aware that it is ALSO an Arabic name. Thanks.

If you pronounce her name Eye-ra I suggest the spelling Ira. The spelling you have will be pronounced at R-E-Uh or Air-E-Uh

I voted for Ayra but I worry at first glance these are often going to be mistaken for the name Aria/Arya (r-e-uh)

I am by no means an expert but the names I can find for the Goddess Saraswati are Aarya which I still don't think will get you the pronunciation you want and Ira which probably will. It's your child do what you want but you told people you wanted a particular pronunciation and were given two good suggestions. Nobody is attacking you by telling you the names in this poll probably won't be pronounced the way you want and giving you other suggestions that will or the advice to keep looking.
