Nevena (NEH-ven-na) vs. Nevenka (neh-VEYN-ka)

Nevena and Nevenka both mean "marigold," as in the flower. Nevenka is actually more popular in Croatian as a given name, even though it's a diminutive of Nevena. With either, I think we will be able to get away with Neve or Nevie/Evie as a nickname. Which do you think sounds most adaptable? Nevena has different stress than many three syllable English names, which has me leaning toward Nevenka!

Yes, I agree, if you are primarily going to be in English-speaking places, the 2nd one (Neh-VEYN-ka) will be more intuitive.

Baby girl! It's so funny to hear that they are unique when they are just so popular in Croatia! LOL

We are in the U.S. at the moment, in a very small town!
