Nickname vs. for vs. Hermione

Our top name for our daughter is Hermione Rose! However I have 2 questions before it is completely settled. First of all is it too associated with Harry Potter and second what are some nicknames? Thank you guys.

I love Hermione. I don't think it's too associated with Harry Potter. For a nickname, Minnie would be sweet.

I think it is a beautiful name and it is definitely not too associated with Harry Potter! I love Hermione nn Mione or Mina or Mia. Good luck!

To me it is associated with Harry Potter for sure. But I've seen the name on this site enough it makes me think it isn't- or won't always be- strictly tied to Harry Potter.
My favorite nickname is Maia. I'm not sure which spelling is best though: Myah, Maia, Maya, Miyah, etc.

Hermione is gorgeous. I think it will always be associated with Harry Potter, but I don't feel like that is a bad thing. I would consider using it myself, and esp. if you love it. The name was around long before Harry Potter and should still be used, it is so pretty, but yes, people will definitely mention to her.

It's definitely associate with Harry Potter, but it also stands as a name in its own right, if that makes sense. Kind of like Aurora and Sleeping Beauty.

I love Hero as a nn for it.

I love Hermione and wouldn't worry about the Harry Potter association! Hera (HAYR-uh) is my favorite nickname.
