Noemie vs. Noemi vs. Naomi
So I'm trying to get the spelling of a name right, I want the name pronounced No-Amy. But the spelling noamy looks odd and would probably be pronounced incorrectly. How should I spell it for English speakers in the U.S. I know I'm France they have Noémie.

Naomi is nay-o-me or nye-o-me in the US, depending who you talk to. Definitely NOT no-Amy. I'd say just stick with the French spelling if it's a French name. You might decide to leave off the accent. I would read Noemi and Noemie the same, but I'd be likely to use more of a short e sound rather than a long A sound. No-Eh-me If you were to spell it Noami, people would probably misread it as Naomi, so I would advise against that spelling.
