Tricia vs. Trisha vs. Patricia
I've seen the troll polls. I thought this website was for adults. I was not expecting presumptive and rude comments on my poll. Please excuse yourselves if you don't want to answer the question. We happen to like the sound of Tricia. Everything old is new again. I'm sure some of you had a grandmother Evelyn, Nora, Vivian, etc. If you don't like our pick, there are ways to be honest without being insulting. So I'll ask again, do you like it on its own or is it more of a nn in your opinion? and which spelling do you prefer? What associations do you have when you hear the name, aside from it being "vintage"? Thank you, Jessica and Ben

I like Tricia. My first year I taught a 6 year old girl named Tricia full name Patricia. Later on she changed it to Patty. I think if you are always going to use Tricia just name he Tricia.

I'm not a fan of the name, but I was insulted by a Trisha in college so that's where a lot of it comes from. I have a family member called Trish and was never a fan.
I have a cousin Tisha and I think that is a bit softer.
If you like it you should use it. Trisha is better than these crazy spelled names like Avelynne or Madalyn.

The Tricia I know is named Patricia. The Trisha I know is actually Trisha. So if I were to see Tricia, I would assume her name was actually Patricia, whereas with the Trisha spelling, it's more obvious that's her full name. I like Trisha. Patricia is ok. I don't like Patty.

Its very "country" if that's the vibe you're going for. Personally I'm not a fan of any of those names. I don't hate them but I don't love them. Patricia is okay for a middle name

I've always liked the name Patricia, and while I'm ok with the nickname Patty, I'm not super hot on Pat. As for Tricia/Trisha, I prefer the spelling Tricia. I've known 2 by this name, both former students of mine and one was spelled the first way and the other the 2nd way. Perhaps because of them, I see the name as a stand-alone name and like it.

I've known a person whose name was Trisha but she went by Trish. I personally don't like those names, but the spelling of Trisha is better. Also, I think that the nickname Trisha/Tricia or even Trish could probably also work for Beatrice.

I like it as a nickname for Patricia. I've known three Tricia/Trisha's and they were all short for Patricia. Only one of them was even remotely "county", so that's completely not a vibe I get from the name.

I personally do not like any of the names. That being said, it is not my baby. There is nothing wrong with the names, they are just not my style. I grew up with an old name that did not and has not made a comeback so it used to surprise people when they heard my name. But the important thing is if you love it. No one else has to. Only you and the baby's dad. GL

I like Trisha best.It reminds me of country singer Trisha Yearwood and her beautiful voice. So I guess that's "country" but I mean it as a positive thing.
My name is Trisha, so that is my preference. I also go by Trish.
