Annie vs. Hallie vs. Twins?

Mu husband and I are expecting identical twin girls and love the names Annie and Hallie. Which weren't inspired by the Parent Trap but I know the two twins in that movie are named that. So our question is, would it be a bad idea to name them Annie & Hallie? Or should we go with something different?

I automatically thought of the Parent Trap when I saw the names. Is there any specific reason you like these two names? Maybe you could use one for a middle name and one for a first name?

I never made the connection till you mentioned the movie. I personally don't think it's a big deal to use the names.

Thank you guys SO much for the suggestions! We were thinking we shouldn't use them either but we really love your suggestions! We love love the name Hallie so we will probably keep that one and find another name that we love with it!

I love that movie and I didn't even think of it when I read the names. I think Annie & Hallie are great together, and definitely not weird that they happen to be the same as the movie.
I think Annie is much better with Hallie than a longer "Anne" name, all the suggestion made above seem to clash/not be the same style. Use the names you love, very few people know the movie enough to make the connection. And if they do, it's a great movie anyway. I highly doubt anyone if your daughter's future classes will have even seen the movie, but I bet it'll be your Annie & Hallie's favorite. Seriously so cool, I bet they'll boast about it.

LOVE Annie & Hallie together! Definitely would NEVER had made the connection. I agree with guest above, use the names you love. If I had a twin sister I'd definitely think it was SO COOL to have the same names as the parent trap twins.

See I figured that since the movie is so much older than them that their classmates would not even know about it. But then I worried that if someone found out they would make fun of them? I just think the name pairing is adorable and my husband and I LOVE both names. We did not want to give them names that were super matchy, but still wanted names that went well together.

Seriously they'd be the ones to tell their classmates not the other way around, I'm sure they'd be the only ones to see the movie because it's older and of course you would show it to them because of their perfectly matched names and they'll love it! Seriously Annie & Hallie go great together, they match without being too matchy.

I've seen the movie but honestly didn't think of it at all. I don't think it's a big deal. But you could do Anne or Anna nn Annie instead if you want.
Hallie & Kaycee
Hallie & Emmy
Hallie & Jennie
Hallie & Nora
Hallie & Tessa
Hallie & Wendy
