Katie Echelle vs. Katie Elizabeth
Please vote for the middle name you think flows best. They are both family names which is a tradition we've used for all of our kids. Echelle is pronounced e-shell and I know it means something in another language and may seem bizarre to some but it's one we are considering. Is Echelle with a long E, same as Katie? (kay-TEE EE-shell) If so, then I think Elizabeth sounds better. But if Echelle means something special to you then I think flow is less important.

Echelle/Échelle means "Ladder or scale" in French. And there's also Echelle grating. It is not a name therefore Katie Elizabeth gmv.

Original poster here and it just so happens that Echelle is my middle name so no need to tell me it's not a name. People use all types of words for names all the time so not sure why it couldn't be used as a middle name.
