My-kuh is the male pronunciation, Mee-kuh is the female pronunciation (usually spelled Mika). Micah is already unisex, so do your son a favor and at least pronounce it the masculine way. My-Kuh is strong and handsome, Mee-Kuh sounds meek & weak.
I've known one Micah (My-kuh), in University, and he HATED when people would call him Mee-Kuh. And I don't blame him.

I agree it will be pronounced wrong. I would stick with the spelling though so he can decide to be called mike-ah when it is his choice.

Micah is Mike-ah, boy name.
Mika/Mieke is Meek-ah, girl name.
I suggest keeping the Micah spelling but changing your pronunciation to the more masculine Micah, and using "meeka" as a nickname.

Thanks, but this is his father's name --pronunciation included -- and will keep it for this reason. Just here for a middle name, did not intend for a debate over the pronunciation of my son's name.
