Sair-ees Claire vs. Seer-yss Claire vs. Ser-ess Claire
How would you pronounce Ceres? (Middle name will be Claire) First option is how I pronounce it, and the other two are how I've been told they are pronounced. Comment if different pronunciation. Thanks.
The Top Baby Name is...
Possibly none of these? I would say "seer" (rhymes with ear) "eez" (like the first syllable of easy)
So I guess kind of like the word 'series'
Probably to rhyme with Paris. Sair-ryss. Tough one. I probably wouldn't use it because one will know how to pronounce it. Sarah (or Cerah spelling), Carys (Karys) Celine or Cerina (Serena) are probably better options
Is this supposed to be another spelling for Cerise? The French word for Cherry? Sé-Reeze/Say-Reeze? Not a fan, sorry. Ceres & Cerise are both a little too out there for me.
Like the word series
I like Ceres, but but not with Claire. What about something like Ceres Gail or Ceres Diana?
SEER-eez, both syllables long E sound. I voted Seer-yss as that seemed closest to how I say it.
If this name is after the Goddess of agriculture and fertility, then the correct pronunciation is Sair-eez
