Silva/Sylva is a boy name just so you know. I have an Uncle Silva LOL... Maybe Sylvie would work better with your last name if Sylvia doesn't work.

What about Sylvie/Silvie?

Yes came to say Silva/Sylva is a boy name, similar to Silvan/Sylvan.

Silva/Sylva & Silvan/Sylvan for boys.

Sylvie & Sylvia/Silvia for girls.

I was not aware of that. I've only seen it categorized as a feminine name. I'll look into that more, thanks. We have other names on the list, just narrowing it down.
The -ie- sound is actually what throws off Sylvia with the surname, so Sylvie just sounds weirder.

Silver/Sylver would be better for a girl than Silva/Sylva (boy name), but it's a bit out there. Though Silva/Sylva does sound like a Brittish or Australian person saying Silver anyway, so it's fitting.

Sorry you can't use Sylvia or Sylvie :(
Silva is ok but lacks some of the charm.
There's Elva and Elvira. Sylvia to me has the combination of nature (of the woods) & elegance. Linnea is another name that has that feel to me, being a flower name but also a name that rolls off the tongue easily. Eleanor might work too.

This is a long shot. But I have to make the suggestion of Silvestra / Sylvestra, nn Silvie / Sylvie. It's an ancient Roman name and has the same meaning as Silvia / Sylvia. It has a magical quality to it that I love. And maybe it flows with your surname.

Silva / Sylva sounds more like a surname to me, sorry. It's incomplete as a first name. Sylvie is the French form of Sylvia so it doesn't feel incomplete. Brains are weird places. Good luck! :0)

P.S. Adore the suggestion of Elvira ("el-VEER-uh"), and Elva, nn Elvy for both. More magic afoot. :0)
