Adelaide "Addy" vs. Adelaide "Ella"

My husband and I have decided on Adelaide for our girls name. We originally loved Addy for her nickname, but Ella was our second favourite first name, and we thought it could be a nickname option for Adelaide. Let us know what you think!

Here is a little bit more information and other questions we have:

We have four adopted children, so we have never been through the naming process. We decided on Caleb Finn if the baby is a boy. What do you think of it? Also, we love the combination of Adelaide Mae, but is Mae predictable? Thank you.

I think you could use both middle names. Growing up, I went by Kat, Kate, Katie, Kit, Katya, and Kay. You could also use Della, Heidi, Ada, Adley, Ally, or Adele. Good luck!

I think Addie is the most intuitive and what you should initially go with, but you never know what your child's nickname will end up as. They'll come naturally, and she may go by both (or even more!). My children have multiple nicknames, some not having to do with their names at all.
I love the nn Laidey/Lady for Adelaide too.
