How to vs. spell?
Hello! I'm expecting a little girl, and I've been obsessed with a name since I was young (I heard it on a classmate and have been in love with it since), but I'm not sure how to spell it. The pronunciation is MAY-leese. Can you please help me figure out the best way to spell it? I will likely call her Mae (this spelling) for short. Thank you!

I think, Maelyse nn Mae, would be you me best option.
I was going to suggest Maeliese but the e's look odd before and after the L for some reason. Anything with a C reminds me of "Malice" so I'd steer clear of that!

Either Maelyse or Mayliese. I personally love the "may" spelling, but that would have you calling her May instead of Mae.
