Opinions on vs. Lisa

Not as popular anymore, I know. But, I really like it. Besides, I'm naming my daughter after my Swedish cousin who helped raise me as a child. Lisa is not a bad namesake to have, considering she took care of me when my parents left me. Other than that, what are your general opinions on the name before I name my daughter Lisa? I would love some outside opinions, please!

Way too outdated. Maybe a variant of it.

I've always thought it's really cute. I think it's due for a comeback.

I like Lisa. To be fair, it's the name of my best friend so of course that makes me like it. :) But it's short and easy, not likely to be duplicated in her class.

I think it's a sweet and pretty name and it would be really special for her to be named after someone who means so much to you. I think you should totally do it.

Nothing wrong with it! Reminds me of Leah and Elsa which are pretty common these days. Isla is also a nice option to honor Lisa because it uses the same letters!

Thinking the posters 2-5 are all the same users.

Frost time commenter here lol. I think Lisa is a nice name and even more special for your daughter to have that connection with someone close to you. I know a girl called Lisa and it suits her; smart, no nonsense but kind and sweet.

I think Lisa is a little outdated, but adore the suggestion of Isla using all the same letters! Great idea!

Beautiful name! You could also use Alice if you don't want to use the real name!

I like it! It's my name! I have a co-worker named Ilsa (NOT Isla) and we joke about our names being turned inside out, but otherwise just the same. Lisa was really popular in the mid to late '60s, then hit number 1 in the early '80s. What's not to like about Lisa?

My first thought is that it is a little dated, but it's been around forever. It's a good name and won't hold her back.

If you're unsure and are looking for other Lisa-like names that are a little more trendy (again, I think Lisa is fine), there's also Lucy, Lena, Eliza, Alice, Anneliese, Elise, Louisa, Lucia, and Alessia.

Very sweet. Lovely choice, so much nicer than the daddy hinge out there.

Time for a comeback!
