I know an Ayla who pronounces it as ehhhh-la, or a long A. If you want it to be pronounced like Isla, I think it likely will be a pronunciation problem. Couldn't you just use Isla, if you want that pronunciation?

Isla. Isla is Eye-luh. Ayla is A-luh (like Kayla)... another spelling I've seen for "Eye-luh" is Eila (like Eileen)
