No more old names vs. No more old names vs. No more old names

Why are so many old names coming back...it is really getting old hat. The names that are old should stay in the past. Sophia and Sofia = annoying and how many Addison's or Adelaide or Adelyns....seriously come up with prettier names please. Enough with old names.

Yeah, I was also going to say, what are some names you like? I think it'd be boring if we all had exactly the same taste in names. I have an "old" name and I love it, but I also love some names I've only heard recently.

I had the same thought. What are we naming grandma ?

Eventually, yes these names are for grandma if these babies have children that have children. They are not babies forever

Some kids are even being named after grandparents.

I couldn't disagree more on "old-fashioned" names. This is a naming trend that I really like.

There are some names best left in the past like Bertha and Agnes, but others are absolutely adorable like Alma and Theo.

Kids born today won't associate them with old people, because their grandparents were born in the 60's and 70's, with names like: Linda, Heather, Jennifer, Jeffrey and Kevin.

I agree that Sophia is getting too common and Addison/Madison/Adelyn are not the most attractive - but if people's taste differs from mine, so be it. We each should choose a name for our own child that we love or that means something to us. You will never please everyone.

Names are a subjective thing. If you dont like the return of classics, too bad, imo nothing could be better.
