If I was just being lazy and didn't want to say the full name Winona (exhausting 3 syllables that it is 😂), I would just say "Hey Win." Winnie would never occur to me unless she told me that's what she goes by. I mean, I have never, ever heard anyone say Winnie Ryder or Winnie Judd. It isn't a name that immediately screams a nickname at all.
I was coming here to suggest Ona if you want to purposely institute a nickname. I see someone else already did and gave you even more information then I could have, which is all very cool. I think it is the prettiest option, personally. 😀
