Amaya makes the most sense to me since the name Maya is usually spelled like this.Also I just think the Y looks pretty.

When in doubt, it's best to go with what's more popular so it gets spelled correctly. These names also have different meanings (according to Baby Center).

Amaia: #631 in 2020; "End" in Basque Amaya: #124 in 2020; "Night Rain" in Japanese

My phone autocorrects(underlines) Amaia, but recognizes Amaya. I think the choice is clear here: Amaya!!!

I think Amaia is the traditional spelling.
