Charlie for sure. Charli looks incomplete to me and I think the more common way is Charlie so that will avoid people misspelling it.

Charlie as a given name is way more popular for girls. Giving the fact you are only using it as a nickname makes it possible for a girl. Personally I like Charley. But Charlie give.

Most boy names are way more popular for girls because moms of boys are told they can't use unisex names. So we're only left with a handful of names.
A girl mom told James and Elliott are too feminine now and I shouldn't use it for a boy!
