Middle name Wolf vs. Woolf vs. Wolfe

Having a boy in a few months. We want his middle name him to be Woolf, after the author Virginia Woolf. But we're unsure of using that spelling. Many family and friends don't like it and think we should go with Wolf or Wolfe. What do you think? We understand that he could still be named after Virginia without spelling it "Woolf," but we're still undecided . All feedback appreciated! Thanks.

Woolf was a wolf who was so bizarre that he got kicked out of the pack.🐺

I could see the concern if it was a first name, but as a middle name it really doesn't matter if it isn't soelled the intuitive way. That is the perfect place for a meaningful but unusual spelling.

I think is kids see his middle name Woolf the might bark at him like Woof woof. I would use a different version.
