Madeline vs. Adaline vs. Adeline

My husband is named Adam. I have a large extended family, one is a cousin Adeline. I'm 37, shes maybe 19. (I have 30 cousins on just that side)... can I use Adaline? I knew a special old lady named Adaline too, she died.... can I ask my cousin and aunt? LOL. It would be after my husband and that lady... I dont see my cousins often. Or should we consider Ada or different Adam like name.

Also how would you say madeline? I can't decide if i lile the LINE or LYN Pn better but the LINE pn could be an alternative to whatever makes me love Adeline(Adaline)....

Madeline is pronounced (Mad-uh-line) & Madelyn or Madalyn is pronounced (Mad-uh-lyn).

Use the name you like best. Like you said, you don't see that cousin often and if anyone asks, your daughter is named after your husband and the special older woman. If you were to use Adaline, at least it's spelt differently than the cousin's name which would probably help. I personally adore both Adaline and Adeline, so whichever is lovely. Using Ada would work too to honor your husband and the woman if you're fine with that.

You can also use the name Addison, the name Addison means "Son of Adam", but it is usually a girl's name. I have never met a boy named Addison. Also, you can use the name Adamina which is the feminine name of Adam, meaning red, a reference to either the red skin or the red earth from which the Old Testament Adam was created. Hope this helps!

Madeline is pronounced LINE or LYN, I've honestly heard it pronounced the second way much more often than the first. Both are pretty but I prefer LINE.
I LOVE Ada, though.
