Help me name my artist friend's daughter

Me and my husband are having out first baby. Unsure of the gender but we know we want the name to start with an R. So far we have two boy names and a girl name we really like and we were hoping for more suggestions. We also love the middle name Dallas for a girl or boy and would like suggestions for a first name that fits with Dallas because we don't like it with the names we already have. For middle name suggestions, we do not care what letter it starts with!

Hi! This isn't connected to the previous Victoria poll. I would really love to name my daughter Viktoria, (yes, with a k, deal with it, Americans) and I would like your opinion on the nickname: I don't like Tori, but love Vicky. However, I hate that spelling, so I'm thinking of either Viki or Vikie. Which one sounds better?

Yesterday I made a poll with 3 names that I used to like for a girl, but everyone commented that they are ugly and weird, so I guess I'm just going to get an abortion since I'm such a horrible mother, because I was considering to name my child one of those ugly names. We have Tupi-Guarani Indigenous heritage and wanted all our children's names to preserve this. This poll is for our third child, who is a girl due in May. It's taken us much longer to name her than our other two. Our eldest is our son Kauan and our other daughter is Araci

We're thinking of middle names and whether we really need one. I've heard from some people that it was to honour family members whose names they didn't like enough for a first name or because it was Jr. or something and needed to be distinguished from the father. Some others have said they gave their maiden name as their kids' middle names because they didn't change their name after marriage and didn't want difficulties when travelling or with schools or government offices. And then the vast majority have said "because everyone else does" or because they thought they had to because everyone else does. So my question is, why/how did you pick your kid's middle name? Do I really need to give my kid a middle name? Is there a reason to it other than just "everyone does it"? Want some opinions outside my immediate family/friends. Thanks! ~Eva
