Marlon-yes vs. Marlon-no

What do you think of the name Marlon? It’s tradition to name the first son after his godfather, who in this case is named "Marion" (a Slavic boys name). It seems too girly to me, although my husband’s side of the family sees it only as a boys name. What do you think of Marlon as a compromise? It’s almost Marion, just with the i melded into an l. It just seems more appropriate for a boy, in my opinion. But I’d like to get some outside opinions, since his family isn’t much help (they all are fine with Marion). Thanks!~Della

Help! I love the name Guinevere, but I can't think of a really good brother and sister name for her. Since Guinevere is so empowering, I want the next names to be powerful as well. Thanks, Genie!
Baby Name Genie:
You seek the Holy Grail of names. Let me help you in your quest. The brother of fair Guinevere will fight on foot with swords aplenty, but on his horse he'll surely lance a lot. Name him Edward for a regal name. A sister could be dubbed Katherine if greatness is what you desire.
