I’ve recently fallen in love with the name Madeline but my husband has vetoed it. He went to school with many Madeline/Madelyn/Madeleine’s and we used to have a mutual friend named Madeline (Maddie) and he says that he can’t get past the not-so-great associations. I can respect his feelings however I just can’t seem to find anything else I love nearly as much! Can you give a few suggestions I can share with my husband that I may like based on Madeline? I just feel as though it’s elegant and classy and girly but not too frilly. Thanks for your help! ~Shanna
Hi! My husband & I cannot agree on any name for our daughter! Her middle name will be Jeanne (a combination of Jean & Anne, two important people to us) and we aren’t fans of alliteration so we want to avoid names beginning with J. The other thing we have agreed on is that neither of us want a unisex name. We aren’t exactly sure what our style would be called, however our sons are named Levi, Tate, and Knox if that gives an idea of what we like. Thank you! ~Eliza
If someone walked up to you right now and handed you a baby girl and said, "She’s yours, name her." What would you name her. Don’t think about it, just the first name (first and middle) that comes to mind. Trying to get ideas and wanted to see what folks come up with in a hurry. Thanks!
Our son or daughter will be Black/White, Native American mixed with Mexican/Spaniard, Czech. We really want a name that reflects the diversity! This leads us to exotic names but we don’t want anything Hawaiian sounding or awkwardly spelled. Some names we have thought of are Troian/Jericho if we have a boy or Luna/Trinity if we have a girl. We’re only just beginning our search for a name so we do want many more suggestions! Thank you so much
Please help suggest names! The first person will say their favorite name that starts with an a. The next person will say their fave b name, so on and so forth. Gender is unknown so suggest boy and girl names. Thanks for helping me find a name! - Amber
I’m due to have a little boy any day and I’m still at a loss for his name. My biggest concern is girls hijacking boys’ names, I used to like Carson now I’m afraid that within another generation or two more girls will will have the name than boys, like Allison or Addison. I like Lukas(Luke), Bennett, and I used to like Zachary or Zachariah but due to a family member it’s out. All suggestions appreciated.
...of the name Fiona? We think it’s pretty, but we’d like to put out some feelers without asking our family and friends (we want to keep the name a surprise). Your help would be greatly appreciated! -Shannon
So my best friend just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl! She has red hair and green eyes. So she need’s names since she is SO lost. So what name do you picture with a girl with red hair and green eyes?
We have a very long list of names for our baby. It would be really helpful if you eliminated 1 name for each gender until we reach the last 6 names. Please do not update list and names can be eliminated more than once. I want to see which names get eliminated the most and will keep track of the list. Thanks!
I will put a list in the comments. All respectful opinions welcome. Thanks in advance.
My husband and I love the name Annabelle, we find it so sweet for our little girl. However, I went to another name site to see what others thought of the name and people said the spelling Annabelle was too frilly and young looking and looked like two names mushed together and that the spelling Annabel was more classic and mature and would serve better for a girl in her life. We love the Annabelle spelling more but not sure if we should keep the spelling or use the Annabel one.
