This is a little bit complicated, and I definitely need some advice. We are expecting our first baby, a little girl, and had chosen a name that we thought was perfect for our daughter. My husband is from a Jewish family, so we thought a Hebrew name to honor his heritage would be a really cool idea. The name we chose was Adina Lilly. We had a family baby shower, and we made what I guess was the mistake of telling our families the name we had chosen. The only person to react poorly was my husband’s mother, who, since we found out we were having a girl, has wanted us to name our daughter after her. (My mother in law’s name is Esther, which isn’t a terrible name by any means, but it’s just not a name I want to give my daughter)She’s insisting that our daughter is going to be named Esther, and is now calling her "Essie". She also says that even if we chose something else, she will call our daughter Esther and introduce her to others as that as well. This is incredibly frustrating for us, and I guess I’m wondering how we stand our ground on our daughter’s name? Thanks for any help!
Hi! My husband and I are expecting our baby girl tomorrow! We are so excited but we still have not decided on a first name! We are making an elimination poll. You may eliminate one name at a time, and NO bringing back. Middle name will be Sofia. List will be in the first comment. Thanks! - Eliza and Marcus
We want to name our daughter after two good friends named Valerie and Christina. Valentina is one option. I think it might be too much, though. Maybe we should just name her Valerie Christina or use one now and save the other for a future child. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I like all three of these boys names but don’t know which one sounds the best.
We want a uniquely old fashioned sort of name but that is still cute and works well on all ages for our son. What do you think? ~Ashleigh and Mel Sanders.
Which nickname do you like better? Thanks!
Hi I am Abigaille "Abby" and my husband Daniel "Danny" and I are expecting a baby boy. We have one daughter named Megan and we have adopted my niece Meshi. It is pronounced Meh-she. I know it is a bit strange but we didn’t name her. We just decided to keep it the same since she was 4 when we adopted her. Most people call her Anna, her middle name. Or Annie. But anyways, I’m getting off track. Both their names starting with M was completely coincedental and we are not sure if we should keep the trend for our little boy or not. What do you think? Would you mind suggesting some names like Megan Elaine and Meshi Anna? They don’t have to start with M if you don’t like the trend idea. We are open to anything. Thanks Abby, Danny, Meg, and Anna Carllton.
