We’re naming our son Christopher. While it’s a bit more traditional than we thought we’d go with it’s our favorite we agree on. However, I dislike the shortened "Chris". Normally I wouldn’t worry about a nickname, but I want to call him something before Chris would take off. Kit and Topher are two more shortened versions of Christopher. Which do you like better, what do picture with each, or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks

I LOVE the name Ezra but my husband doesn’t like it for a boy. He does, however, like it for a girl. Initially a shock to the system I am coming around to the idea of using it as a girls name. What do you think? Thanks!

We’ve decided on Carson for our sweet baby girl! We know it’s more common on boys, but we love it on a girl! We don’t want any rude comments or people trying to persuade us to use a different name, Carson is set in stone. We just want middle name ideas for our little miracle.

I am having twin girls! My husband and I have yet decided on their names, but we do know we want to honor two important woman in our lives; my mother and his mother. Their names are Anne and Elizabeth. We have looked at a lot of names that honor these two names, but all seem overused or really popular. Any suggestions are welcomed, but we really would like uncommon names. We could use middle name suggestions as well. Thank you. Maggie, Jake, Juniper May (4) and little girls

My grandparents passed away when I was very young and my aunt passed away a couple of years ago. I would love to name my children after them, hopefully at least use their names as middle names. I told my best friend the names of my grandparents and aunt and that I want to use them for my future children but she told me that they are terrible names and laughed about them. It’s been a year since I told her the names but it’s still brought up and she always makes comments like ‘how funny’ the names are and laughs about them, and when I remind her that they are in honor of my dead loved ones (she never remembers that they are in honor of my grandparents and aunt) she jokingly says she’s sorry. This girl has been my best friend for almost 7 years, so I usually look to her opinions, but her comments about the names hurt me so much and makes me want to cry. Do you think I should give up on naming my future children after my loved ones? My friend’s comments make me doubt the names.

My hubby and I have been going back and forth trying to find a name for a girl. The one name we keep going back to over and over again is Riley, spelled this way. I know there are mixed feelings on this site as to whether or not it is suitable for a girl. Riley is honestly the only name we agree upon and we have truly grown to love the name - so we are going with it regardless of what other people think. Now we are looking for a girly middle name that is also a family name. Do you like any of the following? Riley Alice, Riley Marie, Riley Kathryn, Riley Ann, Riley Pamela, Riley Paige. Thanks for respecting our decision.
