My husband and I are ecstatic to be welcoming our first child! We have tried to have children for so long, and this baby is a miracle. We are older, and since we’ve had so much trouble getting pregnant, this baby will probably be our only child. So we want the perfect name. We’ve chosen not to find out the gender. Could you please suggest maybe five names for each gender? We know we don’t want something very trendy or creatively spelled. But beyond that, we really don’t know where to start. Thank you!

I’ve fallen in live with some Arabic names, Safie and Nadira for a girl and Jamil and Raffi for a boy, however, I am English. Would it be too weird or offensive to use any of those? Should i just use them as middle names maybe or use something similar?

My husband owns a bakery, and I thought it would be cute if we made a subtle nod to that fact by naming our first baby, a girl, Claire (like eclair). But do you think it’s subtle enough? We don’t want it to be glaringly obvious. If you have any other ideas we would greatly appreciate that. Middle names would also be appreciated if you do like Claire, we would prefer something nature-y.

Ever since I was a kid I loved both these names. But now I’m afraid they are too "90s". What do you think?
